A plastic surgeon has revealed that he refused to perform the cosmetic procedure on Dr. Donda West which has been tied to her sudden death.
Donda, who is the mother to rapper Kanye West, died in Los Angeles this weekend following what her publicist called a cosmetic procedure.
Patricia Green, Dondas publicist, did not specify what the procedure was or what the exact cause of death was.
Hours after Greens revelation, the Los Angeles Coroners Office would confirm that Donda died from possible complications due to surgery . The coroners office claimed they did not know what kind of surgery it was.
According to Access Hollywood, Dr. Andre Aboolian, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, revealed today (November 12) that Donda approached him a week before her cosmetic procedure to discuss breast reduction and a tummy tuck.
Aboolian claims he refused to perform the procedure because Donda had a medical condition. The surgeon did not reveal what the condition was but said he could only perform the procedure on Donda after medical clearance.
An autopsy on Donda has been scheduled for Wednesday (November 14).
According to Oklahomas Koco 5, Dondas funeral will be held in Oklahoma City. A Howard-Harris Funeral Home spokesman confirmed they have been contacted by the West family to start making arrangements for the funeral.
Kanye has always publicly celebrated his close relationship with his mother and dedicated a song to her on his sophomore album, Late Registration .
Donda served as Kanye's manager and was a former chairman of the English department at Chicago State University.
Earlier this year, she released a book titled Raising Kanye which detailed his childhood and her experiences as her son's manager.
She was only 58 years old.
