The 16-year-old was sentenced as an adult on carjacking charges!
PONTIAC, Mich. - A 16-year-old boy was sentenced to more than four years in prison Monday for dragging Eminems mother from her car on the street made famous by Eminems movie 8 Mile.
James Antonio Knott also was ordered to pay $3,473 in restitution to Debbie Nelson, who suffered bruises and a broken foot. The teen earlier pleaded guilty to carjacking and armed robbery charges in the Jan. 22 attack.
Nelson, 49, has said she thinks the boy should be punished, but that her main concern is that hes rehabilitated and wont do this again. She declined comment at Mondays hearing, where Knott was sentenced to at least 4 years and 3 months in prison.
Nelsons rocky relationship with her son, whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, has been no secret since the Detroit rapper became a star.
Eminem has disparaged his mother in songs such as Cleaning Out My Closet. Nelson brought and settled two defamation lawsuits over Eminems statements about her in magazines and on radio talk shows.
