Devon Sawa in a birthday tweet to Eminem
Today (October 17), Eminem celebrated his 47th birthday. While he got plenty of warm messages from people online, none of them were better than the birthday wish he received from Devon Sawa. The actor — whose film credits include Final Destination, Little Giants, Casper and TV show Nikita — is to Eminem fans mostly known as the person who portrayed Stan in the music video for Eminem’s classic song of the same name.
Sawa, known for being a funny guy, didn’t pass up an opportunity to crack a quick joke while extending his best wishes to Marshall: He got back into his Stan character, and tweeted, “Happy birthday @Eminem. Sincerely yours, Stan, Ps. We should be together, too.”
As any Eminem’s fan would know, Sawa’s tweet, of course, is a reference to the iconic “Stan” lyric: “You gotta call me, man, I’ll be the biggest fan you’ll ever lose / Sincerely yours, Stan. P.S.: We should be together, too.”
