50 Cent And The Game — Doomed From The Very Beginning?
|
|
You know the saying "you're always the last to know"? On Monday evening, radio listeners in New York were privy to news that the G-Unit were severing ties with the Game before he even knew.
Late that afternoon, Game had been a guest of Hot 97's Angie Martinez and downplayed the rumors of problems between himself and 50 Cent.
Simultaneously, 50 and the rest of the G-Unit were telling a different story on rival station Power 105.1.
"Where does he stand with your camp?" Power 105.1's Ed Lover asked 50.
"Across the street or around the corner," he answered. "He's not in my camp. Not after being that disrespectful." |

The Game outta G-Unit!

NEW YORK - Another day, another feud for 50 Cent. This time, he's beefing with his own protege, the best-selling rapper The Game. Actually, make that former protege.
In an interview on hip-hop radio station Hot 97 Monday night, 50 announced that he was kicking The Game out of his G-Unit clique because of disloyalty — for refusing to take 50's side in his latest battles with high-profile rappers. Then a shooting occurred outside the radio station, wounding one man, police said.
At the time, 50 Cent was inside speaking on the radio — the interview ended abruptly as security people escorted the rapper out the building, a spokesman for the radio station said. |

Man Shot Not With 50 Cent
|

Authorities have refuted early reports that a shooting victim at Hot 97 was affiliated with 50 Cent’s G-Unit. Now authorities have stated that the victim is a native of Compton, the hometown of The Game.
At the time of the shooting, 50 Cent was interviewing on Hot 97 and The Game was reportedly trying to gain entrance to Hot 97. A confrontation ensued outside after the Compton-bred rapper and his camp were prevented from getting inside of the facility.
According to sources, the wounded man was a 20-something African American male, but have not positively identified him as a member in The Game’s crew. 50 Cent, G-Unit and Olivia were immediately ushered out of a side exit to the building. |

|
|
50 Cent may have missed the original target date of February 15th for the release of his 'Massacre' LP, however, the project is now coming to stores earlier than its rescheduled March 8th release. With the album leaking to the Internet and streets on Monday, Interscope says to look for the latest 50 Cent LP a few days earlier, on March 3rd.
The track causing the most stir since the album hit the black market has been the highly anticipated 'Piggy Bank.' 50 has done a ton of press in advance of the song, telling the world he was going to state 'facts' about Fat Joe, Nas, Jadakiss, Ja Rule and Shyne. |

XXL rates 50 Cent - The Massacre

|
50 Cent - The Massacare Rating: XL
We've seen it happen time and time again. MC So-and-So debuts strongly only to crash and burn with their second LP. It's plagued the likes Jeru the Damaja, Raekwon, and the Pharcyde. Most artists usually blame the failure of their re-up disc on the dreaded sophomore jinx. But for every MC So-and-So, there is an exception. Someone like 50 Cent, a definitive star that makes more hits than excuses. Although his 2003 debut Get Rich or Die Tryin' moved over 10 million units worldwide, the rap behemoth looks to get even richer with The Massacare. |

50 Cent: Eminem is like Serena Williams
|
|
Rap superstar 50 Cent lives in awe of the success of his mentor Eminem and likens him to tennis champion Serena Williams.
Eminem has defied racial stereotype to conquer the hip-hop world, much like Williams, who became the first black player to win a grand slam tennis title in 40 years when she won the US Open in 1999. |

Will Smith has something for Eminem
|
|
Will Smith takes shots at Eminem. Five years after being ridiculed on Eminem's "The Real Slim Shady," the former Fresh Prince apparently has some words for Eminem. Insiders say Smith's upcoming Lost And Found is a deliberate departure from his usually clean cut music. The album features a track entitled "Mr. Nice Guy" on which Big Willie addresses his good guy image and disses Slim in the process. The album features production from DJ Jazzy Jeff, Timbaland and guest appearances from Snoop Dogg and Mary J. Blige. |
