News:

Tony Yayo says he wishes he had outsold Kanye

Who says gangstas don't dance? Tony Yayo is down with one of the hardest cliques in rap and says there's nothing wrong with enjoying yourself.

"A lot of artists, when they do their music and come aggressive, they put on the screw face and never have no fun. I like to have fun, man. I'm not gonna walk around with the screw face. I like to smile, joke, have fun and dance. But don't think anything funny about it. Don't think anything's sweet or peaches-and-cream."

Yayo actually has a signature dance he calls "The Tony Yayo," for which he waves his hand in front of his face. You probably caught him doing it at this year's VMAs or in his new video for "Curious." Although the movement looks strikingly similar to WWE heavyweight champ John Cena's "You can't see me" move, Yayo says he came up with it after hanging with 50 Cent's little boy, Marques.

"Me and 50's son created that when I was on the run," he explained. "I had nothing better to do. I was in the house, and we was playing around."

50 Cent goes in a new direction?

50 Cent has a lot on his plate lately- Movies, books, video games and, oh yeah, music. With all the recent hubbub of singings over at G-Unit Records, will 50 have to change his winning formula?

"I'm kinda going left a little bit, but not too far from where my audience already embraced me," he said to MTV. "Anything that changes too fast is no good. You shouldn't expect me to come to you with my next album totally different from what you already know. In the history of music there hasn't been an artist that's successful — I did my research, so trust me — that put out an album that was themed with a split personality or more than one type of personality."

Game recorded a song with Good Charlotte...

"We were all just randomly hanging out one day, and [Joel and I] were like, 'Hey, you want to go in the studio?." "It was kind of last minute," Joel added. "We're trying to hold off on doing stuff with other people because we want to focus on Good Charlotte, but when Game asked us — he's our friend, so it was fun. It really wasn't like work."

The brothers describe the sound of the track, which is still untitled, as "the Clash meets N.W.A."

"There's no name for it yet, but y'all will hear it though," Benji said. "Trust me; you'll know when you hear it. It's crazy."

So far, a handful of tracks have been written for Good Charlotte's latest album, and the guys plan to hit the recording studio by the end of the year with their first single out by next spring.

Tony Yayo talks about G-Unit & prison

NEW YORK - Tony Yayo and 50 Cent spent a good chunk of their lives as a team, rapping, hustling, and struggling together on the mean streets of New York City.

Yet when 50 Cent hit his superstar stride in 2003, Yayo wasn't by his side. That's because Yayo's previous criminal activity caught up with him: He was arrested and jailed in December 2002 on a weapons charge while 50 Cent became the most ubiquitous, successful rapper in the world.

But 50 Cent didn't forget about his friend during his jail stint. He hyped Yayo every chance he got, sporting "Free Yayo" T-shirts and promoting Yayo's as an integral part of his G-Unit clique.

Yayo's reputation in the streets grew. It also helped that before he did his time, he spent months furiously recording raps, so he had a presence on 50 Cent's album, as well as those from fellow G-Unit members Lloyd Banks and Young Buck, and Game.

50 Cent says he knows what fans want, and he's giving it to 'em

Rapper won't be messing with his winning formula on upcoming releases.

The new music you'll soon be hearing from 50 Cent won't be all that different from what you've heard in the past, he says, and there's a reason for that.

"I'm kinda going left a little bit, but not too far from where my audience already embraced me," he said. "Anything that changes too fast is no good. You shouldn't expect me to come to you with my next album totally different from what you already know. In the history of music there hasn't been an artist that's successful — I did my research, so trust me — that put out an album that was themed with a split personality or more than one type of personality."
