Eve shows softer side in UPN show
Starring in her own sitcom allows Eve to reveal a side not usually associated with the hardcore rapper image that made her famous. Eve plays fashion designer Shelly Williams, the central character on UPN's "Eve" � about a group of friends struggling with modern attitudes about romance. Now in its second season, the series airs Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. Eastern.
Young Buck charged with assault with deadly weapon
Young Buck was charged with assault with a deadly weapon on Monday for allegedly stabbing the man who attacked Dr. Dre at the Vibe Awards last month. The G-Unit rapper, whose real name is David Darnell Brown, faces up to eight years in prison if convicted, according to Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Hamid Towfigh.
This week in the Hip-Hop charts, Tupac Shakur is off to a fast start and Eminem bounces back. With Eminem serving as co-executive producer, Tupac's Loyal To The Game has been buzzing and is now poised to reach the top spot next week. According to early Hits reports, the posthumous release is on pace to sell approximately 250,000 copies.
Two slots behind, Slim Shady has regained momentum following the recent release of "Like Toy Soldiers". Since dropping, the single has quickly picked up and already reached the top on video countdowns including a #1 slot on MTV's TRL. In its 5th week, Encore rebounds one spot to #3 with a 10% boost -selling 273,000 CDs according to Soundscan. (Source: SoHH)

Studio 8 in Ferndale, on Eight Mile near Woodward, was used by Eminem in 1997 to record his CD "The Slim Shady LP." The building will be auctioned on eBay. It won't fit under the Christmas tree, but the studio where rap superstar Eminem recorded his star-making hit "My Name Is" will go up for sale Wednesday on the Internet auction site eBay.
Youmg Buck returns to music city for homecoming show
Young Buck was back in Nashville Sunday night, performing his first concert since an alleged stabbing that landed him in the national headlines. Buck put that part of his past behind him to focus on a special homecoming performance. The budding hip-hop star, known for his CD called "Straight Outta Ca$hville," turned himself in a few days after the stabbing incident.
