Eminem values his daughters privacy (and perhaps media should too?)
According to Free Press, the Schools Board of Education President Denise Aquino said Monday that while Hailie's mom, Kim Scott, escorted her daughter onto the football field during the crowning, Eminem watched from inside a building in an administrator's office off the cafeteria in an attempt to not overshadow his daughters moment with his presence.
"The staff worked directly with him in order to allow his privacy," Aquino said. "He wanted it to be her moment and they just assisted him in making that happen. He was looking out when she was announced queen. I'm happy for them, that she was allowed to have her moment."
Rick Rubin explains creative process behind Eminem's "Berzerk"
Eminem's upcoming album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, slated to be released November 5, is set to be executive produced by Rick Rubin and Dr. Dre. Rubin recently addressed his work on the album's lead single, "Berzerk," during a behind-the-scenes interview at the selection's video shoot.
"I think it's unlike any current Hip Hop songs," Rubin said. "If you listen to what's going on in Hip Hop, this is not what this is. We wanted to do something kind of throwback to some of the early records we were making in the '80s, and it more reflects that energy of the early days of Hip Hop."
Eminem's childhood home, featured on two of his album covers, up for auction in Detroit
Eminem hasn't lived in the house on Dresden St. for years, but it has been featured on two of his album covers. The 747-square-foot home is now being auctioned off by the Michigan Land Bank, and the minimum bid is reportedly set at $1. Smart move on behalf of the bank, as it makes for good "bait & switch" (misleading) headlines and free publicity, even if starting bid amounts in reality carry no significance. It's all about the end price.
The house in question can be seen on the cover of his upcoming album "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" (photo of the house / album cover included)
Check out the isolated vocals from "Lose Yourself", it's pretty amazing...

"My baby girl keeps gettin' older, I watch her grow up with pride."
Here's a fact that'll make many Eminem fans feel old: Eminem's little girl Hailie is not so little any more, in fact, she is a high school senior.
Eminem has mentioned his loved daughter countless times in his music, but it seems that Hailie earned her very own moment in the limelight on Friday, October 4 as she was crowned homecoming queen at her Michigan high school. The now 17-year-old daughter appeared in a local news report wearing a sparkling tiara as she stood before her peers.
