The internet has spoken! Eminem turned out to be fans choice for Artist of the Year at the first ever YouTube Music Awards, held in NYC on November 3rd.
Eminem, 41, really is back and better than ever! The "Rap God" went up against fellow artists Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, One Direction, Psy, Epic Rap Battles of History, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, but he blew away all of his rivals to take home the YouTube Artist of the Year trophy.
The first YouTube Awards, live streamed worldwide, were nothing if not unique, and they honored the Artist of the Year based on who was the most watched, shared, liked, and subscribed-to artist on Youtube. More than 16 million people voted, and Eminem won the award.
Unfortunately, he was not able to accept the award live - but not because he wasn't there. Eminem was busy backstage preparing for his live performance of "Rap God," which turned out to be awesome. Congrats!
