According to Free Press, the Schools Board of Education President Denise Aquino said Monday that while Hailie's mom, Kim Scott, escorted her daughter onto the football field during the crowning, Eminem watched from inside a building in an administrator's office off the cafeteria in an attempt to not overshadow his daughters moment with his presence.
"The staff worked directly with him in order to allow his privacy," Aquino said. "He wanted it to be her moment and they just assisted him in making that happen. He was looking out when she was announced queen. I'm happy for them, that she was allowed to have her moment."
She said Eminem has always been conscious of his daughter's privacy since Hailie began at Cherokee Elementary.
He arrived at Friday's game, as always, without any extra security or fanfare.
"I think he has separated his fame from being a parent," said Aquino, who has been on the school board for 17 years. "I think he's separated his career and what he may have gone through in his life, and raising a good daughter. I think it's very, very important to him, and he's done a good job."
Hailie, a senior honors student, was proclaimed queen at the school's football game along with king Tyler Knepp, 18, an aspiring musician.
"To me, she's just another normal person," Knepp said Monday. "She's trying to live a normal life."
Knepp, who writes music, sings and plays guitar in the pop-rock band Escape Plan, was hesitant to discuss the queen.
"I would imagine her parents are just as excited and proud as my parents were for me," Knepp said.

PS: I believe media should respect Hailie's right to privacy and show some courtesy and common sense when it comes to publishing personally identifiable information about a non-public figure, which Eminem's daughters definitely is, at least until she herself does not indicate otherwise. She should be allowed to have a normal life out of the spotlight if she so wishes. What do you guys think?
