Eminem hasn't lived in the house on Dresden St. for years, but it has been featured on two of his album covers. The 747-square-foot home is now being auctioned off by the Michigan Land Bank, and the minimum bid is reportedly set at $1. Smart move on behalf of the bank, as it makes for good "bait & switch" (misleading) headlines and free publicity, even if starting bid amounts in reality carry no significance. It's all about the end price.
The house in question can be seen on the cover of his upcoming album "The Marshall Mathers LP 2"

A piece of hip hop history just south of 8 Mile Road is up for auction. Eminem's childhood home, which is located on Detroit's east side, is being sold through the Michigan Land Bank, according to The Detroit News.
The Michigan Land Bank's website does not list a minimum bid, but the Detroit Free Press reported that it is set at $1.
Eminem fans will recognize the 747-square-foot home at 19946 Dresden Street from the cover of 2000's "The Marshall Mathers LP" album. Eminem recently revealed that the now-vacant house will also be the cover art for his upcoming album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2."
