Eminem fans, don't set your TiVos just yet. The folks helping to plan next year's Super Bowl festivities at Ford Field downplayed media reports Friday that Eminem and Stevie Wonder are atop the list of planned halftime performers.
"No decision has been made by the NFL about the direction of the entertainment for Super Bowl XL," said Ken Kettenbeil, spokesman for the Detroit host committee. "All I can say is that the league is very aware of the depth of musical talent in Detroit." Kettenbeil said that official confirmation of halftime artists won't come until late this year.
