The ex-wife of Eminem is once again behind bars.Kim Mathers Reportedly Violates Rules At Rehab Center
Kimberly Mathers was ordered to a drug rehabilitation program Feb. 12 as part of her probation in a drug-possession case. She was kicked out of the rehabilitation program Tuesday for violating the rules, Local 4 reported.
Mathers was taken into custody in early February after violating the terms of a plea deal she made with Macomb County prosecutors during her Jan. 21 sentencing on cocaine-possession charges, according to reports.
The charges stem from a June 10 incident where police found cocaine in Mathers' purse and in the glove box of her Cadillac Escalade during a traffic stop on Interstate 94 near 12 Mile Road. Mathers was also later charged with maintaining a drug house after people were found using drugs in a hotel room rented in her name, Local 4 reported.
Judge Ed Sorvito sentenced Mathers to two years probation under the plea deal, but Mathers reportedly failed a drug test, and spent more than a week in jail, according to reports.
Sorvito then ordered Mathers during her Feb. 12 court appearance to spend an additional 21 days in jail, followed by the 90-day rehabilitation program. He said it was another chance for her to get her life back together.
Officials at the Michigan Department of Corrections did not release details on Mathers' violation of rules and release from the drug-rehabilitation program Tuesday, but said she will not have a hearing.
Mathers was reportedly arrested and brought to the Macomb County Jail where she will serve the remainder of her 120-day jail sentence -- about 90 days, Local 4 learned.
Mathers divorced rap star Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, in 2001. They have a daughter, Hailie Jade. Kimberly Mathers also reportedly has another daughter from a relationship after her split from Eminem.
